Author commentary
I like to think of these initial chapters at the beginning of Part 2 as an interlude. They are the touring chapters - travel accounts of my time in San José, and the day trips I took to explore the countryside. It’s great to be able to share these wonders with you.
The chapters also provide a lighter break before the main thrust of the narrative continues - which is volunteering with the turtles.
