Author commentary

We are now at what I like to think of as the ‘main event’. This is what the months of preparation and years of planning have led me to - working with the turtles of Tortuguero. I hope I’ve been able to build up some of the anticipation that I felt towards this amazing opportunity, and also the reality of my fears, doubts, excitement and hope at this great adventure of mine. I hope you enjoy this section of the novel and learning as much about turtles as I did :-)
